Located in NE Indiana. 40 hives and 15 nucs all treated with either MAQS or Apigard in the fall. Mixture of local mutt and commercial queens. Winter has been a roller coaster with 50's one day and 20's the next. No consistent snow cover. On average, temperatures have been above average with a number of days in January and February with bees actively flying (mid 50's).
As of last week losses appear to be about 25% with several hives with little or no dead bees present. No visible signs of viruses in the fall. Spent last couple of days putting sugar blocks on as many hives have burned through their stores with the warm temps.
