I thought so too, but thinking about it further it would make sense that
mites might prefer workers over drones, more apt to be able to re-infest a
cell from a worker... Not sure it's true though, could only find a
preference for younger workers over older not workers over drones in the
phonetic stage... Anyone seen research along those lines? Or percent
infestation comparison between drones and worker adults?
