I plant my garden as early as I can in the Spring.
I also plant a second crop of the same plants like
squash and cucumbers because the bugs get them.
The squash get the squash vine borer and usually kills off
the plants but I manage to get a few squash. The striped
cucumber beetle eat holes in the plants but the real
damage comes from the bacterial wilt which kills the plant.
I have watched as my bees continue to work these plants.
This year for some unknown reason I have lost none of these plants.
Nor have I seen any of the squash vine borers or cucumber beetles.
I have supplied my neighborhood with all the vegetables they can use.
The bottom line is what happened to the bugs and is there a connection
between the bugs and the bees. Is what has happened to the bugs
also affecting the bees? Just wondering.

PS I use no chemicals.
