My understanding is that acetic acid fumigation will not kill AFB spores.

The fungus causing chalk brood is ubiquitous on bees I believe, so while
sterilising comb may reduce the pathogen load it certainly will not remove
it.  Breeding more resistant bees is the better answer along with not
opening hives under unsuitable conditions; fungi thrive at temperatures
below that of a normal brood nest, so chilling brood - even by a few degrees
- is not a good idea.
