I'm sure, if they were determined.  For some reason my first post, in which i described my electric fence set up, did not go in or was not approved (I got an email that it was under review, so maybe rejected?).  In that email I explained that I have been using a mesh or net fence run by a solar charger for many years and, as long as the charger is working, the black bears around here have never gone through it.  One year, when the original charger failed, they did, so I know they test it.  They must not be that hungry.
