Not necessarily--I have great results in using OTC to clear up EFB.

I would not extrapolate that far. I've seen plenty of colonies on good
forage unable to clear EFB successfully. EFB appears to have changed, as
in the past, a good nectar/pollen flow usually cleared it up.
And when you say "nutritional supplements," I've seen close to zero
evidence in support of anything other than sugar syrup or a good pollen sub.
