There are various traits that bees can use for tolerance to varroa. Small
colony size and swarming are some of them. But I'm far more interesting in
*resistance* rather than tolerance. Traits for resistance are not linked
to what we consider as negative behaviors. I've kept strongly
mite-resistant colonies that are strong, gentle, and productive.
