I think one of their goals is to try to get compensation, as well. A few decades back, the government shelled out money to beekeepers whose bees got spray killed. Then we saw livestock indemnification for beekeepers whose bees vanished from CCD. Naturally, the groups will prefer to take money from deep pockets like Bayer, etc. but they’ll settle for the taxpayers’ dollars.
