It all depends on what is mated to what.Hybrids between different bee populations usually display increased vigour in the F1 and F2, sometimes this results in increased defensiveness, as mentioned in a previous post about AMM and its hybrids. In some other crosses, for example Buckfast with cypria, the opposite happens and the aggressive behaviour of cypria disappears.Although the genetic input of a queen is 50%, we note that the actual influence of a queen on the colony as a whole is around the 70 to 75% mark.
