I submit the following as evidence that breeding bees has a limited effect

Those results are contrary to the experience of the Calif queen producers
that started selecting for freeze-kill hygiene some years ago. Their rate
quickly went way up.
I also found freeze-kill hygiene to be easy to increase in a breeding
population when I selected for it in my stock back in the 1980's.

Like I said, a limited effect. These are examples of enhancing hygienic behavior within a small population, versus the Australia example of losing it in the real world. That’s what I am saying
