I don't want to speak for Michael, the OP, but we're close geographically, and I believe queen loss with MAQS is ALMOST as much a concern as cost. Perhaps it's our microclimate, or some other unknown factor, but here in Skagit and Whatcom counties of NW Washington, using MAQS at anything near the upper end of the day time recommended temperature range results in what some might consider unacceptable queen loss.
