Perhaps I asked my question too ambiguously.
I am wondering if anyone has been able to reproduce the success that the creators of the Flow Hive are demonstrating in their videos, in particular with what they are calling the "Complete Full Flow™ Hive".
The videos all have something about them that looks a bit "off" to me, but I haven't tried the product and don't want to dismiss it if others have had success.
When I say "off" I mean jars of honey outside of the hive but not attracting the attention of the bees. I know the jars are covered and the tubes go through the cover, but there is no air venting back up the tubes so as honey enters the jar the air (and honey scent) must be venting out of the cover itself. I would think there would be a riot around those jars.
In general, the number of bees flying around the hives seems greatly diminished.
That is, there is the appearance of quite a bit of staging.
So, trying to ask specifically, does anyone have actual experience (positive or non-positive) in using this product?
Other than the video posted by Charles Linder on 6-Feb?
Thanks.
