a Mr Makovec snip...
So who's right?
my comments...
I think your latter question has been answered. The native may be more effective as a pollinator but if you have large acreage of blueberries then the native are simply not plentiful enough to get the job done. With the small patch of blueberries I have the feral hives and natives are sufficient to get the job done but this would not be the case if I had acres and acres of blueberries. So like a prior post suggest managed hives of honeybees on commercial acreage of blueberries is a bit like insurance.
Even within the classification of european honeybees some lines are known to be better pollinator than others.
So in a sense both are right depending on the context of the situation.
simply describe a false choice is a question that ask A or B when quite often a better answer is both.
