Ladies and gentleman I hope you allow me to share god news with you:
Formic acid for use with MiteGone Dispenser and method was registered in
Canada last April. (See Link)
http://www.mitegone.com/canassociates.asp This registration allows use of
Medivet 65% and Univar 85% formic acid.
It also allows filling and selling prefilled kits for hobby and sideliner or
commercial beekeepers See:
http://www.mitegone.com/media.asp#howworks The change in product resulted in
complete Revision of our web
I will appreciate your comments. http://www.mitegone.com/
The same registration is progressing in USA. AHPA sponsored IR4 to proceed
with minor pesticide registration,
The intent is to register concentrated pesticide at 95% for dilution to 65%
by commercial beekeepers or agents
And to register 65% acid already filled in the MiteGone Kits for sale to
Hobby and sideliner beekeepers.
This shod eliminate all gray areas, opinions and acid sale problems which
exist, also the danger of handling
liquid acid by unqualified people.
In Pre submission meeting in July 2013 EPA confirmed present status:
Formic acid is unregulated product and any beekeeper can use it in his own
hives any way he wants.
MiteGone Dispenser and method is legal to use in USA.
The work is progressing slowly and I will let you Know when we succeed.
I will stay on BEE-L until bee starts in April to answer any body questions
or concerns.
Thank you.
