I certainly agree with this. I have written extensively in the America Bee Journal and elsewhere about the promises and failures of bee breeding. On the other hand, there are bees with mite resistance on the planet, which shows that it is possible. The problem is they come with side effects. African bees resist mites, but have other behavior issues. Behaviors tend to be multifaceted as we know.
