Hello Bob,
After a few years keeping honey bees, my wife became allergic, gradually.
At first, no reaction when stunged, then a bit locally...high reaction
locally and finaly respiratory distress.
She started de-sensitization treatment, but she abandoned it after two or
three sessions and finally abandoned beekeeping.
Now she is cured, allergy have dissapeared, at least in blood test, wich
are the following:
August 2010: Apis mellifera- 1.74 KU/L / Polistes-Vespula: 0
March 2011: (after de-sensitization and then abandoned) - Apis mellifera -
2.4 KU/L
June 2012: 0.63 KU/L
August 2013:0.34 KU/L
Allergist told us it wasn´t the first case.
