> Here in East Bay, no. CA almonds started blooming the third week of Jan, about two weeks earlier then last year. I've been feeding light syrup for two weeks now. Now we've finally had a few days of cool partly rainy weather and a check of the colonies indicated that bees were bringing in dark pollen even in a bad weather day. Dollar eucalyptus, almonds, flowering cheery and some other plants are blooming. We did not have our usual winter rain so our mustard never grew and the poppies are just starting to come on. Getting ready for our fruit tree bloom starting next month. Hoping for a good spring but more rain is needed if we are going to get any surplus! Wishing a good spring build up for all!
