A lot of pollen is mixed to honey when honey is uncapped by automatic
knifes. There is always some pollen cells on frames going to extracting and
also pollen in cells is cut with cappings. If cappings are mixed to honey
like thery are mixed when honey is going to separator or wax screw the
pollen addition is more.
Our worker looking for pollen origin can easily say when these methods are
used in extracting. She says there is 10 to 30+ times more pollen. Would
be interesting to see some measurements about this, but we have not done
it.
