After observing the flight activity of several colonies over several days and several fresh snows the combination of fresh snow cover and clear sky during flight alone did not appear to increase the number of bees found on the snow. In my opinion the phenomenon of bees becoming disoriented due to reversed light distribution above snow-covered ground albeit interesting does not appear to be predictable occurrence and is likely of little concern.
