I agree; to a point. Of all the organisms out there, we have only
"domesticated" a handful. In other words we have chosen ones that to a
large extent were pre-adapted to suit our requirements. And then tried
a bit of fine tuning.
Thousands of bee spp out there, only one or two that are really useful
for our purposes.
