What can kill bees in Canada? Burrr .... Now that is January and the weather is extremely cold.  Extreme cold is in effect tonight in Alberta Canada.  Temperature is -24 --27 C with wind chill -31 to - 34 C. Temperature will remain bitterly cold until Wednesday. 65% of Alberta bee colonies are wintered outdoors. 20% of colonies are wintered in southern British Colombia and 15% are wintered indoors.
