In summary honey production is a very risky adventure downhere (I guess everywhere).
That Statement is gold everywhere. This year I ran 800+ colonies in Oklahoma Canola. We spanned 100 miles with 9 yards. WE got totally rained out, most yard did zero (just enough for bees) one yard did 70lbs. total average for 800 hives was 12lbs. One guy 70 miles east managed to get 65lbs the first week, last 4 weeks of the season toal bust as it rained 1/4 to 1/2 inch every other day or better.
Weather is such a huge factor and most do not understand it.
