Jerry,
A person can bring honey from Canada to USA. If the person is flying, you can't carry on honey on the plan. Security does not allow liquids above a certain size (volume). You can wrap honey jars well in paper and then place in a plastic bag in case of accident. Wrapped honey jars can be placed in a checked luggage. I have brought honey from different countries to my lab to try different varieties of honey so many times without any issues or jars exploded.
