In three of my four hives (carniolans), the first fresh wax particles fell
on the bottom board around 10 december, indicating the closing of brood. At
the end of december I found the first cell cappings.
I treated with oxalic acid on december 1, but this was probably not the
trigger to start laying.. ;-)
