Who is defending it? Only one or two members I can see and they have
links to the chemical industry more than to beekeeping as far as I can
tell. Anyone who thinks Randy is defending "the monocultural trend and
> pesticide use", simply cannot read. Randy tries to be a realist and
is doing real work, unlike those who sit back and criticize.
I can see how he leaves himself open sometimes, by being quicker than I
like to pronounce some material, "safe", and being open-minded.
> Is this truly the only way to feed the world? Who are we really

These are good questions. Feeding cars is not something I find
a good use of vast acres of land.
> If I hear "if they stop using X pesticide, they will use the much
> worse Y pesticide" one more time, I'm gonna scream!
Be prepared to scream, since it is true\ -- at least until alternatives
are proven to be competitive in all the applications and locations the
chemical monoculture serves.
