Just yesterday I found about half a dozen small wax moth larvae, about 1/4" long, embedded in webs and chewing through some dark brood combs in hive bodies which were stored outside all winter. 

This is in northeastern MA, so they shouldn't have survived outside through all the cold months. Very odd.  I have never noticed wax moth larvae so early in the season.
