>Any body treat for TM any more? That I assume that would be natural
selection
I'm in complete agreement Charlie. We've seen natural selection at work as
North American bees gained resistance to wax moth, tracheal mite,
chalkbrood, varroa, and small hive beetle. It appears to me that they are
also rapidly gaining resistance to Nosema ceranae.
As Allen suggests, selective breeding has had its success, especially with
color, gentleness, honey production, and recently, varroa resistance.
However, natural selection still applies the strongest pressure to the bee
population as a whole.
