As I've expanded and brought nucs from FL in I have also brought some SHB. They are not thriving and don't winter well. I see a few here and there but they are not a problem. Last winter was the first winter I saw them survive, but it was an exceptionally mild winter. Also, the soil where my yards are is not good for their reproduction [clay].
