produces is the herbicide Roundup--arguably the most
environmentally-friendly herbicide.
Were we not given this a short while ago?

For those who do not like the above, there is this which seems to have been forgotten.

Monanto went from one court to another until they ran out of courts to appeal to, incidentally they lost in every one but it seems to be a tactic of these big companies. Court procedures cost money and it is quite likely that the plaintiffs run out of funds before a multinational.
Monsanto had to pay a ridiculously small fine, 15000 euros, and costs but it was all our legislation would allow. The court found them guilty of polluting ground water in Brittany. 78% of the samples tested were contaminated.
According to the newspaper article, Roundup has been classified as dangerous for the environment by the European authorities since 2001.
