Hello,

Peter, the hornets Greg captured and bagged were European Hornets.

I have never seen a Japanese Hornet. These European hornets are large enough 
for me

They are very aggressive in catching honey bees and killing them.

Greg was stung only one time when he opened the 3 story nuc.
