I don't have a hot room, but I have made a hot stack. I basically have
placed two 100 watt heating elements (from American Science and Surplus)
wound through 1/2 inch hardware cloth. A computer fan from the same source
blows air in to that hive body. The supers I wish to warm are place on top
where the warm air is forced through. I need no thermostatic control. I
place a remote reading thermometer on top of the stack to monitor what is
happening.
I can do 4 or 5 supers at a time. I generally get up to about 85 degrees at
the top of the stack... 95 at the bottom... in about 24 hours. It extracts
well. For my warming needs, it works.
I have never tried completely crystallized comb, but I would expect it would
work, if only a bit slower. I have yet to melt any wax in the warmer.
