The waxmoth damage occurred when the frames were stored in rubbermaid containers. I had passed them all through a freezer but apparently not long enough or cold enough and they got a whole bin of my drawn comb.
I don't have anywhere to stack the supers as you describe for them to overwinter. So, I try freezing and storing.
I'm hopeful to find an industrial freezer that I can use to give all of the equipment a good hard freeze after removing them in the fall.
