Thanks Bill.  What were those spore counts, and from where in the hive the
bee samples were taken (entrance, lid, brood frame)?  I ask, since I have
watched typical spore counts go down over the past few years.

The lack of syrup consumption is one thing that puzzles me.  It is widely
reported, but curious since nosema-infected bees are hungrier for energy.
 I will need to test this on some confirmed high-nosema colonies.
