So if Hymenoptera comprise the bulk of the birds' diet (according to the almost 100 yr old study which I doubt considered Purple Martins close to a bee yard) I am thinking that my suspicions may be correct. I do not plan on getting rid of the martins but it looks like I will indeed continue to purchase queens when needed...
