"A generalization is a plateau for a tired mind." I'm ,not sure who said
that, but it's true.
Ergo, any statement that starts out "Master beekeepers are..." tells me more
about the writer than it does about beekeepers. Ditto "Commercial beeks
are..." I'm an MB and have hung with both groups, wintering with a number of
pros in Fl., and I'm not overly-impressed with them. (Got offered a job
supervising in a large operation) I found that in general, I was more
conversant with current research, and had a more general picture of the
craft. To their credit, they listened to what I had to say. OK, there's my
generalization and I've written away my resentment. Really. I mean,
seriously!
