Sorry Bob, was rushing off to conference! Simple formula--assigned a value
of 1 for treatment. Each year's end residues would be (1+ previous year's
residue) * 0.5
And yes, if land is rotated, then residue buildup would be much less.
Grass appeared to increase degradation.

I ask them about that. Many don't notice dust issues at all. Others
notice minor kill for a few days. It appears that situations such as yours
in Ontario are the exception rather than the rule. I feel strongly that in
such cases beekeepers shouldn't be forced to swallow the losses without
compensation!
