I have a Dadant 10/20 Stainless Steel radial extractor. The bottom
bearings on the main shaft usually burn out every third year, right in
the middle of extracting. Consistently. So much so that I buy
replacement bearings 5 at a time and store the extras under the
extractor so I have them readily available when needed. In fact, it's
so predictable that I usually replace the bearings before I start
extracting every other year.
It seems this is excessive. I've had the extractor for about 20
years. Have other subscribers had similar problems?
