>>> Does anyone have anything positive to report (120 year old beekeepers and whatnot ... )
Both my sisters and my mother had problems with arthritis, one sister and mother badly enough that they had to have operations on their hands to have any use of them at all. The only evidence of the presence of arthritis in me is a crooked joint at each of the distal joints of my pointing fingers and middle fingers on each hand. They are not grossly out of alinement and none pose any discomfort or restriction of movement. Anecdotally, I am firmly convinced that I would currently have a lot more problems with the arthritis if I had not received bee stings from about 1970 (42 years of age) onward. The bee sting regimen was intermittent for a while when I was out of beekeeping from about 1980 to 1999.
