Can't say for sure, but that is in the hive and not the field. When the
bees take syrup that has black mold, we don't see it in the combs.
For that matter, the amount of black mold is usually very small in
comparison to the amount of syrup. I wonder if it grows on the sugar or
the impurities. If it fed on sugar, one would expect to see much more of it.
I wonder what limits its growth.
