Interesting.
Verifying queenright is part of making splits. This time of year in Missouri
hives (left a month) will usually become places for small hive beetle and
wax moths. PPB (piss poor beekeeping).
Check in a week for brood/eggs and use the "dinks" for second boxes.
When numbers increase methods change.
