There is another interesting effect: Global dimming. NOVA (PBS) showed a
feature about that a few years ago.
Here is a good start to reading about it:
http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2006/04/global-dimming-and-climate-models/
"Global dimming is the phenomena of an observed reduction (about 1-2%
per decade since ~1960) of sunlight reaching the surface of the Earth
caused by air pollution and cloud changes. Some of this solar energy is
reflected back out to space and this cooling effect is believed to have
counteracted part of the greenhouse gas warming."
I bring this up for 2 reasons:
1) I love to throw some raw meat into the lion's cage and watch them
fight ;)
2) There is nothing simple about the climate change and reading this or
that newspaper article does not give an answer. What you have to do is
apply the scientific methods with an open mind, scrutinize the facts and
be ready to change our mind at any time. The same applies to beekeeping
and that is what Randy and Peter try to tell us over and over.

( I sound like a smart-ass. Do I really want to post this? Oh well,
beekeepers are great people, they will forgive me. Here it goes...click)
