There is nothing here for my bees to work but so far this has been one of
the mildest winters I remember. There has been an odd plant getting
confused and blooming, a crab apple a few weeks ago bloomed they had a
picture of it in the newspaper, the forthysia in my yard has some blossoms.
My problem is the bees are flying 4 out of 7 days and using their honey up
fast. Most of my hives went into winter heavy enough for a winter that is
normal for our area but these warm days have the bees active and eating
more. I have been getting candy boards on, crazy weather. The ocean is
still 43 F it is usually 34 F in January we expect an early season for
lobstering.
