The queen will be the older queen, the bees may have mites, AFB, etc
Put them in a cardboard box in site for the first 3 days, then hive them in
the hive. Burn the box with any newly drawn comb. That will get rid of any
AFB. Having interfered with them in that way it might be judicious to
give them some syrup to get them started again. Then, when they're settled in
but before they have any sealed brood, give them the oxalic treatment to
get rid of any mites. Depending on age, space, season, genes etc they may
supersede the queen the same year or she may go on for longer. Longevity may
be worth selecting for as, if Mother has a comparatively long life, so may
her daughters, giving the colony more bees at less expense.
