Just to remind anyone who works in the field that the very
best protection against deer ticks (or ticks of any sort) is
to keep the walk in access path to the bee yards mowed at
least six feet wide. Also, keep a six foot wide swath mowed
around each colony. It is on the tall grasses and brush the
the tick hang out on waiting for a mammal to pass by.
