In the corner of my window where the bees would accumulate the most I put a
hole through the door the window was in- right by the window.
I laid a longitudinally bisected piece of ~2'' pvc pipe so that it extended
over the window about 2 in or so and all the way over the hole I had cut.
This(half of the) piece of pipe was trimmed so that it would rest
conformably on the window and the wood underneath as it extended all the way
over the hole. I closed the end close to the hole so that bees could only go
out through the end extending over the window(continuing out the hole in the
door). I coated the inside with aluminum foil in such a way as to reflect
light from the outside. On the ouside of the door I stapled a screen funnel
over the hole.
May have to play with it(isnt that half the fun?) but mine works well.
In my particular setup the pipe is oriented horizontally but it probably
doesnt make much difference
