There are always a few with big losses like that. My friends don't seem
worried, but their losses are double their usual 15%.
The big problem is that they are paying staff this whole last month and
the weather has been too cold for the guys to work the bees.
> Long cold winter blamed?
Yes. I was out kite skiing a few days ago on the field next to my bees
and the ice on my pond may finally be melted tomorrow, exactly a month
later than usual. A few days ago, it was entirely frozen over.
I got my van stuck in a snowdrift yesterday and had to get the 4X4 to
pull it out.
