Welcome Aboard! PAm Board Member, Doug Hauke & Scientific Advisor, Randy Oliver
Doug Hauke manages the Hauke Honey Corporation, an operation which produces and packages honey at its FDA/USDA inspected facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin and he produces nucs and queens in East Texas. Doug also serves on the board of the American Honey Producers Association (AHPA). Read more about Doug on the "Staff" page. Joining Doug on the PAm team is Randy Oliver as PAm scientific advisor. Randy, along with Gordon Wardell, Eric Mussen and Jerry Hayes, will contribute to the decision process by which the PAm board funds research proposals.
Project Apis m. (PAm) was established by beekeepers and orchardists in December, 2006, as a 'New Vision' to fund honey bee research on managed colonies. The organization's goal is to fund and direct research to improve the health and vitality of honey bee colonies while improving crop production. Emphasis is placed on research studies that have realistic and practical usefulness for beekeeping businesses.
