I've not seen the Pettis study, nor do I have any specific knowledge of it.
I was speaking of a common fault that I've seen in almost every sublethal
study that's been published or discussed in the last couple of years - a
failure to distinguish between a general stress response and a specific factor
(e.g., chemical) response.
