Mention has been made of homogenizing sperm when doing instrumental insemination, but has there been a study done on the homogenization of sperm in naturally mated queens? I've heard more than once how hive characteristics can change over a period of time due to the appearance (supposedly) of the genetic line of a different drone. How much homogenization of sperm does take place in the spermatheca?
