Hi All,
I am planning to move several hives to a nearby farm in the coming weeks. Does anyone have a land-use agreement that they are willing to share... basically, the lady who owns the property is a retired farmer and was more than willing to let me place hives there (no real benefit to her; honey production for me). I have no concerns that she would give me troubles in the future, but you never know what *might* happen (heaven forbid she die and her children claim the hives as her property).
Something simple...
-require access 7 days a week (will call ahead if at all possible)
-hives are my property and my responsibility
-land owner shall not be held liable for bear damage, etc
-hives could be inspected at any time by provincial authorities
-Should property change ownership, please notify asap
I'm not really looking for a huge legal document... just something that outlines expectations for both parties.
Thanks,
Doug Tompsett
